(Mission Times Courier- San Diego, CA) -- Listening to candidates state their qualifications and positions on pertinent issues is a good way to decide who to vote for in the primary election June 3. Being able to engage them in conversation and ask questions is even more helpful in deciding. This is an opportunity that Navajo Canyon Republican Women, Fed., is making available to all Republican voters in the area.

The Forum is scheduled for Friday, May 16, from 5 pm to 7:30 pm at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church, 6556 Park Ridge Blvd. in San Carlos. Wine and heavy hors d’ouvres will be served. Rick Griffin of the Better Business Bureau will be our featured speaker at our May 13, 2008 luncheon meeting at The Brigantine restaurant . His talk will focus on consumer scams against women. Consumer scams are all too common, and women of all ages will be forewarned after hearing his talk.

After our club’s annual Spring Fling and the Advocacy trip to Sacramento, we’re looking forward to participating in Allied Gardens’ SpringFest, May 3 at the Allied Gardens Rec.
