Navajo Canyon Republican Women Are Award Winners for Local Club Achievement - Again
Fashion Show chair Norma Mouet, right, enjoys a moment with District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis.

(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, Ca) -  Navajo Canyon Republican Women Federated members attending their National Convention in Orlando, Florida, were elated to receive the Diamond Award once again for excellence in local club achievement.  This coveted award is given in recognition of the club’s teamwork and well-balanced program of campaign activities, community relations, membership development and programs.

A report on the convention will be part of a busy agenda at our November 10 luncheon meeting at The Brigantine Restaurant in La Mesa (off Rte 8 at Fuerte Drive.)  Also speaking will be Assemblyman Joel Anderson.  Our featured speaker will be Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, a conservative candidate for U.S. Senate in 2010 against Barbara Boxer.  Club officers for 2010 will be elected.  Our meeting begins at 11:00 am., with a full-course luncheon at noon, followed by our speaker.  Cost is $18.  Reservations are strongly encouraged; RSVP to Marjie Siekerka at msiekerka@cox.net or call (619) 444-7380.

Our annual fundraiser, “Fun and Fabulous Fashion Show,” at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse was a great success.  CAbi  provided the fashions and the slate for 2010 officers was presented.  Funds derived from this event will support our election activities next year.

Our December 8 meeting will be our annual Christmas party, toy collection, and installation of officers.    It’s an excellent opportunity to meet us in a casual setting and decide whether you’d like to join our efforts to support Republican candidates and ideals of limited government and individual liberty.  Once again, please contact Marjie Siekerka for information and reservations.
