Navajo Canyon RWF Steps In To Aid Fire Victims
ABOUT THE AUTHOR

(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, CA)   San Diego County's recent horrific fires affected many of our members who live throughout the county, and we are stepping in to help in their recovery as we have for others. NCRWF takes pride in our firefighters and all those who helped put out the fires as well as the hundreds of volunteers and donors who stepped forward in a time of need. We are very grateful for their efforts.

Campaigns for the 2008 elections are well underway, and Navajo Canyon RWF is getting ready for a very busy year. The featured speaker for the November 13 meeting was Tony Kravaric, chairman of the San Diego County Republican Party. He reviewed the candidates and the issues to prepare the members for the year ahead. Stephen Walaski, chairman of SDSU's Aztec Republicans, gave the club an update on their activities.

NCRWF will be honored with a City Council Resolution sponsored by Councilman Jim Madaffer on Tuesday, November 30 at 10 am. The Resolution will commemorate the club's recent Diamond Award and 45th Anniversary. New officers were elected at the November meeting and will be installed at the annual Christmas Party in December. We'd love to have you join us!

To RSVP for the meetings, contact Shirley Bening at (619) 460-2335 or skbening@cox.net. For more information about NCRWF, contact Lois Gubitosi at (619) 286-3536 or lgubitosi@cox.net. All Republican women are welcome to attend.
