The first regular evening meeting held by Navajo Canyon Republican Women, Fed., was a great success with an overflow crowd of Republican women and guests filling Marie Callender's restaurant to hear radio personality Mark Larson's comments about current political events. Because of our success, we are considering another evening meeting in July to reach out to women who cannot attend our regular luncheon meetings.
|California's economic downward spiral and upcoming ballot initiatives will be the subject of our May meeting, and we are eager to get a greater understanding of economic decisions being made in Sacramento and how we can affect them. Our May 12th meeting begins at 11:00am followed by a full-course luncheon with program at noon.

This follows our April meeting where a representative of Congressman Duncan Hunter's office shared his concerns about national budget and "stimulus" proposals.
Many of our members attended the San Diego "Tea Party" protesting the proposed tripling of our national debt and tax increases coming our way.
