(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, CA) - The Navajo Community Planners, Inc. (NCPI) will not meet in August, to allow Board members to enjoy a month off with their families. The next NCPI meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 15, 2008 at 7:00pm at the Mission Valley Church of the Nazarene, adjacent to the Grantville Post Office. The agenda will be available on the city website: www.sandiego.gov/CPCI a week prior to the meeting.
At the July 21, 2008 meeting, the telecom site proposed for a new decorative pole adjacent to a residence on Twin Lake Drive at Cedar Lake Avenue was unanimously defeated. The NCPI Board opined that T-Mobile had not looked diligently for alternate sites nor was the decorative pole in keeping with the look of the community. The project moves on to the Planning Commission and then the City Council. The NCPI Board thanks the many residents of the affected area for attending the meeting and the 12 speakers who spoke in opposition to the proposed project. We appreciate hearing from you, as the constituents of one of the Navajo Area communities we represent.
