Exciting and fun-filled classes are again being offered by the Mission Trails Regional Park Foundation.  Our enthusiastic Educational Program Instructor Linda Hawley is offering three different classes during the new school year.  Linda's very popular "Ant-Sized Adventures" for preschoolers 2-5 years old meets on scheduled mornings from 10-11:30 and includes class time, an "ant-sized hike,"and a take-home craft. 

Her new program, "Our Naturehood," primarily for children grades K-3, is offered on scheduled afternoons.  It is also well suited for scout or other youth groups.  "Our Naturehood also includes class time, a nature hike and a take-home craft.   Linda's third program, "Nature Explorers" held at MTRP's Kumeyaay Lake Campground, is for families, campers, scouts and other youth groups.   This evening program, offered twice a month on scheduled Friday evenings, includes an introduction to wildlife, and a twilight walk on various trails, exploring nighttime sights and sounds.  In each 90-minute program, Linda teaches participants of all ages amazing facts about San Diego's diverse flora and fauna with songs, games, pictures, puppets, taxidermied animal specimens, and hands-on materials, all presented with her animated enthusiasm. 

The cost is only $5 per child and accompanying adults attend free.
