Pal Joeys and Child Safety Network hold first annual Car Show Fundraiser
Pal Joey's on Waring Road in Allied Gardens held a fundraiser to benefit the Child Safety Network.

(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, Ca) -  Mike Miller, co-owner of Pal Joeys Cocktail Lounge on Waring Road together with Child Safety Network held the First Annual Car Show to benefit the Child Safety Network's 20th anniversary on October 18.  Mike Miller and Ward Lever are co-founders of the Network.  The Child Safety Network prevents child abduction and child injury.

There were 141 entries of Southern California's finest hot rods and custom cars in this years event. Trophy's were awarded by the judging panel to 40 entrants in 11 categories. Some trophies stood as tall as 6 feet!.  An estimated  1100 spectators turned out for the free event ranging from toddlers to senior citizens for the free event. Music, food and vendors kept the show fun from 8:00  till 2:00pm.  

"We will definitely be doing this again next year, it was a huge success" said Mike Miller. The shopping center businesses all loved it and said it was the biggest and best event they can remember in over 20 years."

Great Car Show
I was one of the 141 who entered a car in this show and I have to say it was one of the better shows, especially being a first time show. I will continue to enter this yearly event.
