On January 27th, at the Allied Gardens Town Hall Meeting, our new Councilmember Marti Emerald was the guest speaker. At the Grantville Stakeholders Meeting Councilmember Emerald had said that the City's position on Grantville Redevelopment is that the redevelopment is moving forward and she would work with the community to see that happens in the best possible way.

he Allied Gardens Town Hall Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of every other month. The next Town Hall meeting will take place on March 24, 7:00pm, at Ascension Lutheran Church on Zion Avenue. Area residents are welcome at the Allied Gardens Community Council Board meetings which are held on the first Monday of the month, 7:00pm, at the Ascension Lutheran Church at 5106 Zion Avenue. We need to hear from residents who take an interest in our community.
For Allied Gardens Residents Only: The Allied Gardens Community Council will be supporting a Neighborhood Clean-up, which will be held at Lewis Middle School, on February 28, from 8:00am to 1:00pm. You can bring your appliances, electronics (TV, VCRs, Computer Monitors & CPUs), junk furniture, carpeting, mattresses, wood and yard trimmings must be in 6' wide and not over 6 feet long bundles, palm fronds must be tied in bundles not exceed 50 lbs. and must be under 6 feet long. Items that will NOT be permitted are hazardous materials (paint, motor oil, and batteries), cement, remodeling debris and dirt, tires, light bulbs, tubes, etc.
