Mission Times Courier, San Diego, Ca) - The next Allied Gardens Community Council Town Hall Meeting will be on November 24th. Although this date is the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, AGCC Board members hope you will take a break from holiday preparations and stop by to meet and discuss issues with 78th District Assembly member Marty Block. This is an opportunity to ask your questions on such issues as water resources (or lack of), California budget problems or redevelopment. The meeting begins at 7:00pm and is held at the Ascension Lutheran Church, located at 5106 Zion Ave.
Just a reminder, the Holiday Festival is rapidly approaching. The Festival is sponsored by the Allied Gardens Community Council with donations from Grantville and Allied Gardens' businesses, as well as the Optimist Club and A.G. Kiwanis. Students from Foster, Marvin and Lewis schools will present a program of holiday music and dramatic readings. The Lewis Jazz and Orchestral Bands will perform wonderful renditions of popular songs celebrating the season. The Holiday Festival will be held on December 11, at the Lewis Middle School Auditorium and the program will begin at 7:00 pm. There is no admission cost and during the Concert each child will be given a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a gift certificate to Barnes and Noble. The Grand Prize is a $50 gift certificate. Join us, along with some extraordinarily talented students and teachers for a celebration of the season. Hope to see you there.
