(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, CA) - Olivia Mann-Dial from Foster Elementary School and Katy Willweber from Marvin Elementary school were the official lighting team for the community Christmas tree ceremony.  Other participants included trumpet players Jonah Breslow and Chris Tammadge from Lewis Middle School under the direction of Mr. John Prout.  The music added to the festive occasion.  Thanks to the neighbors, friends, parents and children who witnessed the evening.

Grantville-Allied Gardens Kiwanis kindly donated the tree.  Thanks to Terri and Dean Lattman, John Lee, Edie Odierno and Marilyn Reed who helped to decorate the tree.  City engineers, Lance Doerr and Michael Gray, in addition to Jay Wilson set up the lighting system.  Tom Odierno and son Jacob removed the intricate lighting switches.  Edie Odierno and daughter Loraine snapped pictures for historical records.

Members of the Mission Trails Church assisted our Council in hanging the lights on the bridge near Waring Road.  Our thanks to the Mission Times Courier and former Councilmember Jim Madaffer for their service.
