(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, Ca) - On Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 4pm the San Diego Derby Dolls, in team uniform and on roller skates, will meet Rady’s Children’s Hospital nurses and management at the fountain in front of the hospital to deliver over 200 toys that SDDD collected during their Rady’s Children’s Hospital Toy Drive.

This will mark the 22nd year that the Kiwanis Club of Grantville-Allied Gardens has sold Christmas trees in our community as a fund raising project. The first year of operation the Kiwanis ordered 110 trees and were quite worried about their ability to sell that many.

The 10K/5K/ (3.1 mile/6.2 mile) run/walk takes place on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009 at Petco Park (13th & Imperial) and makes its way through San Diego's historic Gaslamp District and East Village. The 10K run begins at 7:15am; the 5K run/walk starts at 8:15am.
