(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, CA) - Sen. Christine Kehoe (D-San Diego) announced today that her bill to offer regional funding for public transit, open space acquisition and management, water quality improvements, and shoreline preservation has been signed into law by the governor.

(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, CA) Sen. Christine Kehoe (D-San Diego) appeared May 30 before federal environmental officials, requesting a waiver for California to implement its strict emission standards for new cars and light trucks sold in the state beginning with the 2009 model year.

Sen. Christine Kehoe (D-San Diego) asked U.S. Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer May 18 to allow state environmental laws to apply to the proposed toll-road expansion through San Onofre State Beach Park in northern San Diego County.  Current federal law exempts the State Route 241 project from such state review.
