(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, Ca) - Q: The kids on my street are always playing in the street. It's not normally an issue as they move out of the way when cars come and go. But occasionally their ball bounces against my car parked in the street. Is this legal, if they cause damage, what can I do if I don't actually see it happen?
(Mission Times Courier, San
Diego, Ca) - Dear Officer
Burhans:
Q: We
have several neighbors that
play loud music during the day
and
evening, which we can
hear, even with the windows
closed. We also have
several dogs that bark
incessantly during the day and
evening. Are
there
regulations that govern these
types of disturbances?
(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, Ca) Officer Burhans: Q: We need help! Our businesses are suffering, directly as the result of the illegal parking of storage containers, boats and RV's in front of our business for weeks at a time. We call and report them and it takes weeks to months to have them removed. There is vandalism and theft directly related to this problem.
(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, Ca) - When I'm at the playground with my toddler, there are sometimes teenagers on skateboards zipping around. There are signs that prohibit skateboarding. What can I do?
(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, Ca) - I have noticed that a good amount of daytime residential burglaries continues to be on the “alarming” side in the Allied Gardens area. It seems that there are a few a week that take place. So I have a two-part question. Besides neighborhood watches, what can be done to help combat these crimes? Also what IS being done by the police department?
(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, CA) -
Dear Officer Burhans:
Q: ; I was hoping to host a little recreational air soft game with a few of my friends. I would like to know what the San Diego PD's policy is about these kinds of games. I would like to host a fun, safe, and organized game.
