The Pala Band of Mission Indians will open its $100 million expansion at Pala Casino Spa and Resort in May 2009.

(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, CA) - The Pala Band of Mission Indians will open its $100 million expansion at Pala Casino Spa and Resort, which includes major improvements to its dining and gaming areas and a new parking garage, in May 2009. Pala Casino is one of the few Southern California casinos undergoing a significant development this year.

The Music Man opens November 7

(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, CA) - Such N’ Such Productions presents Meredith Willson’s heart-warming The Music Man playing November 7-16, 2008. In the cast are award-winning local actors Frank Remiatte as Harold Hill, Sandra Kopitzke as Marion and Kate Hewitt as Mrs. Paroo. Also joining the cast are Lewis Middle Schools' Dr. Louis Regas and local music/choir teacher Cheryl Slavik along with several area students.
