STA is excited to offer our Summer Enrichment Program. This program offers students entering grades one through eighth a hands-on opportunity to build on the material they have learned as well as establish a stronger base for the up and coming school year. This program includes classes in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Fine Arts.

A very special Thank You to Deanna Wegge, Deb Hilinski, Tracey McNamara and Linda Kilki and all the volunteers for making the 50th Anniversary an amazing weekend. Their hard work and dedication made this fundraiser a huge success. We raised $27,000! Thank you to everyone who donated, solicited donations, bid and supported our Spring Auction. It is a true example of how our community can work together to support our school.

(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, Ca) - The students, faculty and parents of St. Therese Academy had a wonderful time participating in Catholic Schools Week. There were so many fun-filled activities for everyone to enjoy!

We started the week with Move Up Monday; every class was able to move up to the next grade level for a preview of their upcoming classroom and studies. Each class wore their class colors. We also had a fantastic talent show where students performed a wide variety of acts.

(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, Ca) - St. Therese Academy was established 50 years ago and now serves a student population of 340 from preschool to 8th grade. We offer athletic opportunities, after school programs, classroom aides, computers, music, art and PE. STA is much more than an academic institution. It is a religious institution where we focus daily on the spiritual dimension of our students.

In honor of our 50th year there will be many community events that will focus on the history of our school and highlight the success that we have enjoyed over the years.

Red Ribbon week was a hit with all students. The Police Department gave a presentation about drug awareness and being drug free. The students were able to show their support by wearing red throughout the week. On Monday the students received red ribbon bracelets. Tuesday was red accessory day. Wednesday was jeans against drugs day. Thursday was red head to toe day.
The Annual Pancake Breakfast was once again a huge success. This was not only a huge fundraiser for our school but a great way for the students, parents, parishioners and members of the community to get together for a morning of food, fun and fellowship. Thank you to Deanna Wegge and Jeanette Becker for all their hard work and dedication to this event.

(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, Ca) - More than 325 students surprised Mr. Dane Whipple with a pep rally in his honor during St. Therese's daily morning assembly. The students cheered on their favorite teacher as he prepares to run the marathon this Sunday.

(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, CA) - Since the first day of school, students at St Therese Academy have been writing. In many classrooms, students write several times a day. Kindergarten children are learning letters and words while first graders are writing sentences. Older students write letters, poems, personal narratives, reports and essays.

(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, CA) Congratulations to all the students and parents who participated in the Magazine and Cookie Drive. This was an outstanding fundraising event. We sold over $46,000! This is a new school record. At least 40% of this amount goes to the school. A special thank you to Judy Mansour and Carol Chan for all their hard work in organizing this event.
