This Dinner/Auction is one of the largest fundraiser of the school year with proceeds going toward improving student development and continued improvement of the Marvin Elementary School Campus.

Get your tickets early - $25 advance ticket price. After April 30th the ticket price will be $30 and tickets will be $35 at the door. One hundred percent of proceeds from the tri-tip buffet dinner benefit Marvin Elementary.

Marvin Elementary School - New Garden

(Mission Times Courier, San Diego, Ca) - New Garden
Mrs. Hancock, the science teacher, has been working with a parent volunteer to bring an outdoor classroom to Marvin Elementary. The plans have been drawn up and a grant application submitted to make the dream of expanding the Marvin Garden a reality. The outdoor space will consist of a native garden to showcase San Diego County's native flora and fauna, a colorful array of flowers in the rainbow garden, and raised beds for growing fruits, vegetables, and herbs. A shaded sitting area will be included for the students and staff to relax in while learning lessons across the curriculum. The garden will provide hands-on experience opportunities for science, math, literature, and art. Kids will be creating art projects to enhance the garden space. Parent volunteers will be needed to construct the planting beds, install irrigation and assist with planting and maintenance projects such as weeding. � Shop Fresh & Easy and turn in your $20 & over receipts. For every $20 in receipts turned in, Marvin will get $1, now through December 31st.
� BoxTops4Education donates 10 cents for every Box Top turned in. Just look for the Box Tops logo on hundreds of products in almost every aisle of the store. All you need to do is clip and give to a Marvin student in your neighborhood.
� Campbell's Labels for Education awards points to purchase educational and exercise supplies. Every Campbell Soup Label earns points. Help us double our points by sending your labels before December 31, 2009.
